Dress
Code
Girls
The attire for classes will be different depending on the style
of class you are attending. See below for proper dress attire.
If you have any questions, please ask prior to purchasing any attire or shoes.
For all classes girls should wear leotards,
tights and the appropriate shoes. Street clothes will not be permitted
to wear such as shorts or sweatpants as they hinder the teacher
and student from viewing the proper body alignment and position.
No jewelry should be worn that would impair the students ability
to move freely or that could result injury. All ballet classes require
hair to be in a tightly secured bun. Hair should be pulled back
away from the face for all other classes.
Boys
For all classes boys should wear dance pants, a form fitting
shirt, and the appropriate shoes. Again keep in mind that both the
teacher and student need to be able to view the body alignment and
proper positions, so clothing style should not hinder that process.
Recital Shoes
There are times when recital dance costumes are better suited with
a shoe style or color which may differ from the required dress code
listed above. Notice will be given as early as possible to those
classes affected.
Attendance
Attending classes regularly is important for your child to progress
with their dance training. Students should be on time, dressed,
and ready at the designated class time. It is disruptive to have
students entering class late. Student arriving 15 minutes late may
not be permitted to take the class as injuries can occur if a proper
warm up is missed. If your child is absent, make up classes
are available on any other day that a similar class is schedule.
Please see our schedule of classes or inquire at the front desk
for teacher's assistance in make up class options. There is no credit
given in tuition for classes missed.
